Academic Support services provide assistance for students with special learning needs and those who are looking for academic support so they can take full advantage of the University’s unique educational experience. Services include:
- Learning Assistance: MIU is committed to supporting students with special learning needs and those who are looking for greater academic support so they can take full advantage of the university’s unique educational experience. Students on campus who are struggling with a class should speak to their professor, TA, or academic advisor to arrange for extra help or a tutor. Online students should email firstname.lastname@example.org so that a TA can be assigned to give extra support during their class.
- Special Needs: MIU recognizes that qualified students with diagnosed or identified disabilities are entitled to benefit from the educational programs of the University if reasonable accommodations can be arranged. Both online and on-campus students should contact the Accessibility Officer about their needs before their first semester or at any time thereafter. Those with physical disabilities will find that all major classrooms and dining facilities are accessible, as are the major social sites and residence halls.
