Student Government
Mission
The Student Government of Maharishi International University aims to promote the full development of both the inner and outer lives of all students—striving for “200%” of life. We create and support programs and activities that enhance the bliss, health, satisfaction, and affluence of the student body.

Opportunities
The Student Government provides numerous opportunities, including:
- Leadership Development: Enhance your skills through various programs.
- Event Sponsorship: Support for clubs, movies, concerts, dances, speakers, and other activities.
- Quality of Life Committees: Various committees focused on improving student life on campus.
Elections
Every spring, the student body elects members for the following school year. Positions include:
- Student Body President
- Student Body Vice-President
- World Congress President
- Cultural Committee President
- Appointed Roles: Secretary, Treasurer, Communications Coordinator, Food Committee Representative, Campus Sustainability Representative, Student Health Representative, Diversity & Inclusivity Representative, Online Students Representative and LGBTQIA+ Representative.

Candidate Requirements
Interested in running for Student Government? Candidates must:
- Be a full-time student at MIU.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Pass the Development of Consciousness course (if applicable).
- Not be on Attendance Alert or any type of University warning or probation.
- Not withdraw from any course without enrolling in another.
- Have been a full-time student for at least one semester immediately prior to taking office.
